A short drive (or a long hike) from our house in Vauville is a beautiful little place called Goury. It is on the tip of the peninsula of La Hague. I mentioned it in a previous post, but that was in winter and it is even more beautiful now. One day we took a long hike that ended at Goury. Another day, as we drove back home from Belgium, saw a beautiful sunset from Cherbourg and we raced out to the point to catch it as it slipped into the sea. Below, a collection from this stunning area.
The photos are beautiful. I especially love the one of the steps leading up to the arch and through the gate. Reminds me of a "Secret Garden". Very nice photography. =) Daniel: very cool skateboarding move.
Darren really enjoyed the picture of the lighthouse; he wanted me to take him there. I told him it was a little too far and that technology has not progressed as far as "Beam me up Scotty" - - - -wouldn't that be nice??
In late 2006 Daniel and Cindy moved from the United States to Normandy, France. They hope to make the most of their time in France, to learn and to experience as much as possible before they return to the U.S. The purpose of this blog is to share their European experiences with family and friends.
